Church Trails in Cornwall

Minster

Minster - St. Merthiana - Grade I - Norman 16th Century

About a mile inland from the harbour, tucked into a secluded valley in a romantic setting, stands the mother church of the fishing village of Boscastle. It is a remarkable setting for a church, a kind of north coast St. Just, without the water. In springtime especially the churchyard, which is a controlled wildlife habitat, is particularly fine with the yellow of daffodils, giving way to the white of aconites and aromatic wild garlic.
